How far in advance should we book your services?
Generally, the sooner the better to ensure availability—we want you to savor the real flavors. We recommend booking 2–3 weeks in advance for most events here on the island of Mallorca, where our paella experiences are based. For larger or international requests that require us to travel off-island, we suggest booking at least 3 months ahead to ensure availability and proper planning.
What is the minimum and maximum number of guests you can cater to?
We cater to events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.
Do you provide on-site cooking at the event venue?
Yes! All of our paellas are cooked live on-site, bringing the full experience straight to you. Guillermo personally prepares each paella, sharing his paella knowledge in the paella he prepares for you. And if you want a deeper insight from how to prepare awesome stocks to Michelin star awarded chefs tips, and paella-making secrets as he cooks, we recommend you book the Paella Lover AT SCHOOL experience —turning your event into an engaging, delicious, and educational experience.
What equipment do you bring for on-site cooking?
We bring everything needed for a smooth and authentic paella experience, including the paella pans, gas bottle, ring burner, and all cooking utensils. Setup and takedown of the paella station are fully handled by us at the agreed location. Any banqueting materials like plates, glassware, cutlery, tables, chairs and so on must be provided or we can put you in contact with several suppliers.
If you’d like a wood-fired paella, we can arrange that too—with all fuel and materials provided.
Do you require access to the venue's kitchen facilities?
No, our setup is fully self-sufficient. We only need a suitable outdoor space for cooking, as our paellas are prepared using powerful gas burners that require open-air ventilation for safety and proper heat distribution.
How long does it take to prepare and serve the paella on-site?
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes, we offer options for various dietary needs, including gluten-free, nut-free, and shellfish-free paellas.
Do you offer additional services like appetizers or desserts?
Is there an additional charge for travel outside of Mallorca?
Do you provide serving staff for the event?

Paella Lover SCHOOL FAQs
Do you offer paella cooking classes for tourists and small groups?
What group sizes do you accept?
We welcome groups from 2 to 10 people. During the high season (May to September), a minimum of 4 people is required for our experiences. For larger groups, we recommend booking one of our professional kitchen venues or using a finca or private villa to ensure comfort and the best possible experience. We can also come to your house or vacation rental, as long as there’s enough space for setup.
Can we choose the type of paella to cook during the class?
Absolutely! You can select from our signature styles—Valencian, seafood and vegetarian.
Are the classes suitable for beginners?
What’s included in the cooking class?
Everything: utensils, ingredients, your chosen paella, a welcome cocktail (sangria or Valencian water), a starter (mussels or trampó salad), all the wine you wish to enjoy, lemon, bread, aioli, dessert (crema catalana or chocolate coulant), coffee—and a few surprises too!
How long does the experience last?
Plan for around 4 hours from start to finish—including the cooking, dining, and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy it all.
Do you offer private classes for groups?
Yes! We organise tailored sessions for families, friends, or private foodie experiences while visiting Mallorca.
Is this experience good for visitors on holiday?
Can you cater to dietary requirements?
Of course—just let us know in advance. We can accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and other needs.
Do we receive anything to mark the experience?
Yes! At the end of your class, you’ll receive a personalized Certificate of Completion—a great souvenir to celebrate your paella-making skills and your time with us in Mallorca.
Where do the classes take place?
Most sessions are held at the place you live or have rented. Otherwise, we use venues like in Santa Catalina or Puerto Portals at an added cost.
Are there extra charges we should know about?
Yes—classes at your location cost €100 (1–10 people). Professional kitchens carry a fee of approx. €300 (VAT included).
What drinks are included?
We include your welcome cocktail and all the red and white wine you’d like during the event (note: wines contain sulfites).
