How it all kick started...
One day I found myself at home with 12 friends preparing to cook my first paella. The thing is that it is expected of every Valencian ‘to know how to cook paella from the day he/she is born’. So my fears and worries were very big. This also happens to be the case with many of my relatives, friends and Valencian people in general. Fears and worries like - how to cook the perfect, authentic paella; what are the right ingredients; will I be able to prepare it; will it taste good; how long does the rice have to cook…the list goes on.
So, if it happened to me and it happens to my friends, family and many others, it may have happened to you as well. Never fear, I’m here to put your mind at ease. If any of the above rings a bell, then you are in the right place!
Paella cooking is something everyone can learn. What really matters are the ingredients, preparation technique and how much love you put into it!
